Did you enjoy the video? I hope that it was as informative and helpful as possible! If you have anymore questions about my hair comment them below or hit me up on any my social media. I will be sure to answer any questions that I see. I’m truly loving my hair, and I am having so much fun with it! I needed some change in my life and I think that hair is filling that space for me right now. I’m not gonna lie I was really nervous with getting my hair like this! It was something I never tried in a color that I haven’t had in F O R E V E R! But I went for it anyway and I’m so happy that I did! I definitely encourage you to try something new with your hair this summer! I promise you wont regret it

Who did my hair?
Now usually this would be a style that I would try to do on my own. But I was at a crunch for time and really didnt have any time at all to figure out how to do this style. So I remembered that my good friend Shirley said to me a couple of months ago that she does Crochet Braids. So I decided to finally call her up and Boom! Crochet Braids done!
Her number is (973) 389-4542. Ask for Shirley and tell her that Brielle sent you!
The Hair I used
I used 6 packs of the Jamaican Twist Braid Marley Hair from the brand Equal. The Color I used was a 1. It was 4.99 from my local beauty supply store, and should be around the same price if you buy it from your beauty supply store or online. You can goggle the brand of hair to see what websites sell them. They also come in a variety of colors, so if you looking for a specific type of color I would suggest ordering it online. You may only find natural colors like black, brown, and maybe red at your local beauty supply store.
Pics!

So ladies that is all! I hope that this blogpost/video helped you! Feel free to follow me on any of my social media. They are all linked above. What is going to be your protective style this summer? Tell me below in the comment section! So until later on this week, love ya lots like tator tots, and see you soon!

Hairstyle Battle Me VS Finger Coils

Hello All My Darling Divas!,
Welcome back to the blog! It’s been all about hair this week and I couldn’t be more excited! So earlier this week I came to you with my first CurlBox Unboxing! If you want to check it out click here! February’s curlbox came with alot of wonderful products this month, and I had to of course figure out a way to incorporate the products in the box. I decided what better way to use the products then to do a Hairstyle Battle video! Now I have always wanted to try finger coils, and now that I had some amazing products to try I figured now was the perfect time to test it out! So enjoy the video, and meet me below to see who won: Me or the Finger Coils!

So I think it’s pretty safe to say that this hairstyle battle was a TIE! I won because the style did look great and stayed in place. The Hairstyle also won because I ended up not liking how it looked on me. You guys be the judge. Who do you think won? Me or the hairstyle? Leave your comments below! Now lets get into more info and of course pictures!

The two videos that help me achieve my finger coils feel free to use both of the  full out tutorials to show you how to achieve finger coils.
Charyjays Tutorial on Finger Coils- Chile I loveeee a Charyjay Tutorial! Always very informative and simple to follow. I chose her because we have a similar texture, and she showed two different methods of products to use to achieve this style.
Jouelzy’s Tutorial on Finger Coils- Jouelzy is my go to guru for 4C Hair! What attracted me to her tutorial was because we have similar length and texture.

For this video I used 4 out of the 6 products that came with my CurlBox. For a more detailed description of the products featured, click here for my Curlbox Unboxing Video.

Ok So I started off with super dry hair that was tangled and lacked moisture. I used the Cantu Shea Butter Coil Calm Detangler. It left my hair feeling super soft and manageable. I will definitely be using this again!

Then after that it was time to condition and I decided to grab the Carol’s Daughter Mirabelle Plum Conditioner. It put shape back into my curls, and kept my hair feeling and smelling great!
After that I let it dry using the Dove Quench Absolute Cream Serum as a leave in. I showed how soft my hair was in the video. I showed you that I used the  Curls Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Paste and it really held the finger coils! I loved the curl control paste! I was really pleased that it held my curls
So since I didn’t really dig the finger coils, so I decided to take them out and rock a finger coil out and I loved it! The Control Paste really defined my curls and I have been rocking this super defined coil out for the past 3 days!
So ladies that’s all! Maybe I will revisit finger coils once my hair gets longer! If you try it out let me know! All my links to my social media are linked above. I hope you have enjoyed the second video in the Hairstyle Battle Series! I am having sooo much fun testing out new hairstyles, and I wonder what I will come up with next. If you want to see me try out any hairstyle just comment below and let me know! So until next week ladies, love ya lots like tator tots!

Hairstyle Battle Me VS Flexi Rods

Hello All My Darling Diva’s!
Welcome back! I announced yesterday on my FB Page that you will be getting FOUR blogpost this week! I had alot of technical difficulties that got in the way of me posting up here last week, so that leaves me with two extra blogpost! So I figured why not give you all a treat, and post FOUR TIMES! So yesterday I posted the first video out of the four which was my Christmas Haul ( I know kinda late!) Click here to check it out! Now lets get into what today’s video is about!

In my first blogpost for this year I explained that there would be new content coming to the blog. I already started the Curve Maintenance health and fitness series, and today I am starting up the Hairstyle Battle videos! In these particular videos I will be trying out hairstyles that I have either always wanted to try, or have tried and failed at terribly. These videos will be me trying out these hairstyles with no practice! So I have no idea how the hairstyles will come out! So in the first Hairstyle battle video I will be going up against the Flexi Rod: A Hairstyle tool that I have failed at so many times! So in the end who do think will win? Me or the flexi rods? So check out the video, and meet me below to see who wins.

So In the end I WON!!!! And I was sooo excited. I can honestly say that I didn’t think that this would work out for me, and I finally realized what I was doing wrong all these years. I was using flexi rods on DRY HAIR! I always avoided doing Flexi Rod’s on wet or damp hair because I thought I wouldn’t achieve great results. So you can only imagine my surprise when I found out that the reason why flexi rods weren’t working for me was because my hair WASN’T WET! It was really funny for to me, and that just goes to show that you should try something out instead of just assuming that it wont work.

So here are the two videos that I used to learn how to flexi rod
I gravitated towards the Chic Naturals tutorial on flexi rods because she achieved a great style on short hair. Since my hair is shorter length, I defiantly appreciated seeing this hairstyle done on hair that was close to my hair-length! She started hers on damp hair and our textures are different, so I decided to check out one more video just in case starting on damp hair was not the way to go.

So then I remembered that Joulzy made a hair tutorial on flexi rods. Joulzy is pretty much my go to 4C hair god, because all of her hair tutorial catered to Type 4C hair. When I saw that she also started on damp hair, I  knew right away that that was the missing element to my flexi rod hairstyle! That was why I always failed at this hairstyle!
After flexi rods I was left with beautiful defined curls that lasted for a couple days! The video footage did no justice, so I was def glad that the pictures captured all of my curl greatness!
Now that I have got flexi rods under my belt,  I will def be using them more often! I was very happy with the way my curls came out, and I cant wait to do them again! Moral of this story ladies, never under estimate starting on damp hair! Since my hair is Type 4C, starting on damp hair isn’t ideal. I achieve most of my style starting on dried hair. It was nice for a change to switch things up!
Ladies I hope you all enjoyed the first video in the Hairstyle Battle Videos! Let me know in the comment sections if they are any other hairstyles that you want me to try! Feel free to follow me on social media! They are all linked above! So remember to come right back here tomorrow for the third video out of the four being posted this week! Until then, love ya lots like tator tots!
