Stop! Before you Protective Style!

Hello All My Darling Divas!
Welcome back to the blog! I first want to say I’m sorry for posting so late! I have been trying to get this blogpost up all day, but Youtube was taking FOREVER to upload my video! So excuse this post for being so late, but I was determined to post today! (lol) Today were going to be talking about how to prep your hair for protective styling. It is starting to get warm, and I know that us ladies like to put our hair up to protect it from the summer rays. I recently got my hair put in Crochet Braids, and I made sure to prep my hair properly before I got this style installed. Click here to check out the blogpost on all the info on my hair! I definitely have learned my lesson by not prepping my hair before I protective style, and not taking care of my hair WHILE it’s in its protective style, so this video is to help you not make the same mistakes that I did! This conditioner right here is so amazing! It makes your hair feel super soft, and you only have to leave it on for about 5-10 mins! I got this in one of my Curlboxes, and I swear I’m running to the store to pick up a new one when this one runs out. Great product

Creme of Nature Pure-Licious Co-Wash

This conditioner is SIMPLY AMAZING! I ranted and raved about this video in my product review video that I posted two weeks ago. It is infused with argan oil which is great for your hair, and it also leaves your hair feeling very soft and managable! This is another proudct that I can see myself buying again!

African Royale Hot Six Oil

This oil right here is amazing. I have been using it since I was little, and it def gets the job done! This oil is six oils in one, and I use it for pretty much everything! My scalp loves it!

Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Jamaican Black Castor Oil has MANY hair benefits! If you need help growing back damaged edges this product is definitely for you! You can google Jamaican Black Castor Oil benefits to see how it can benefit your hair.

Moisture

African-Shea Butter

I have very often ranted and raved about how much I LOVE Shea Butter! It works wonders for my hair, and I will probably use this product forever. This is my daily moisturizer, so I definitely recommend using your daily moisturizer as you protective style.

Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter

I haven
‘t quite expressed my love for Beautiful Texture products yet, but they are AMAZING! It smells great and keeps my hair soft and manageable. If you haven’t tried any of the Beautiful Textures products I definitely recommend you do! They are amazing.

My New Protective Style

Happy Memorial Day Darling Divas!!

I hope you are enjoying your Monday, and relaxing if you have the day off today! Today on the blog we are going to be talking about my new hair! I finally hopped on the Crochet Braids trend, and I have no idea why I didn’t do it sooner! This video is all the details on my hair so that if you were wondering anything like what kind of hair it is, or who did it you can just look to one video! Who did my hair?

Now usually this would be a style that I would try to do on my own. But I was at a crunch for time and really didnt have any time at all to figure out how to do this style. So I remembered that my good friend Shirley said to me a couple of months ago that she does Crochet Braids. So I decided to finally call her up and Boom! Crochet Braids done!

The Hair I used

I used 6 packs of the Jamaican Twist Braid Marley Hair from the brand Equal. The Color I used was a 1. It was 4.99 from my local beauty supply store, and should be around the same price if you buy it from your beauty supply store or online. You can goggle the brand of hair to see what websites sell them. They also come in a variety of colors, so if you looking for a specific type of color I would suggest ordering it online. You may only find natural colors like black, brown, and maybe red at your local beauty supply store.

Product Review: Creme of Nature Products

Happy Friday Darling Divas!
I hope you are having a wonderful Friday, and I hope your weekend will be amazing! Today I’m coming to you with a product review video on the Creme of Nature Products that I received in my May Curlbox. Click here if you haven’t checked that out. I didn’t have time to do my usual hairstyle battle video because I’m getting a protective style this week. I really wanted to try out these products, so I decided to do a product review video. So basically this is a Hairstyle Battle video except its on a hairstyle that I have already done before. So check out the video below, and meet me under that for more details and pics!

Did you enjoy the video? I really love these Creme of Nature Products! They work really well together, and they smell great! I’m now going to give you a brief opinion on each of the products.

Cream of Nature Pure-Licious Co-Wash

This stuff is amazing!! It made my hair feel so amazing, and I am definitely adding this to my favorite products list. It gave my hair great slip, and made the detangling process really easy. Out of all of the products in that I tried out this is one that I see myself buying when it runs out.

Creme of Nature Argan Buttermilk Hair Milk

This buttermilk was amazing as well. It worked great with the Pure-licios Co-Wash, and made my hair feel really soft. This whole week I used this on my hair and it kept my hair feeling very soft. Great product!

Creme of Nature Style & Shine Foaming Mousse

I felt like this product was good, but not the best foaming mousse that I’ve used. I’m going to try this mousse again one more time to be sure that it works for my hair the way I like. It did give my hair a good curl, but I feel that it will work better on my hair if I use it on dry hair.

Creme of Nature Perfect Edges

This product was pretty good, but it wasn’t the best edge control product ever. It slicked up my sides, but didn’t keep them slicked for very long. I think that next time I will use a brush to further slick up my edges with this product.

Hairstyle Battle: Me Vs The Silk Wrap

Hello All My Darling Divas!
Welcome back to another exciting installment of the HairStyle Battle Series! Today it’s a battle of me against The Silk Wrap. Now the silk wrap is definitely a throwback hairstyle. So what better day to post it then Throwback Thursday! I remember years ago watching tons of my fave natural hair divas try out this hairstyle. I figured it was about time fore me to test my hair against the silk wrap, so now it’s time to see who will win: Me or the silk wrap? So watch the video and meet me below for deets!

The first was this tutorial by Classcie. She was very informative and her hair is AMAZING!

And this is defintly a throwback video from Mahagony Curls. I have always loved her videos, and her hair is also Hair Crush worthy!

As far as the products used in this video I used all the products from my April Curlbox, and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. They just didn’t leave my hair feeling exactly amazing. I hate to talk bad about any company’s products, but I also have to stay true to how I feel and keep it 100 with you all. So if you want to check out my April Curlbox click here. So here is the finished product of my hair and the silk wrap. It isn’t exactly smooth and moisturized, but after this video I added some of my Shea Butter Mixture and wrapped my hair. When I woke up my hair was very manageable and soft.

Springtacular: Hairstyle Battle Me VS Cold Rods

Hairstyle Battle Me VS Finger Coils

Hello All My Darling Divas!,
Welcome back to the blog! It’s been all about hair this week and I couldn’t be more excited! So earlier this week I came to you with my first CurlBox Unboxing! If you want to check it out click here! February’s curlbox came with alot of wonderful products this month, and I had to of course figure out a way to incorporate the products in the box. I decided what better way to use the products then to do a Hairstyle Battle video! Now I have always wanted to try finger coils, and now that I had some amazing products to try I figured now was the perfect time to test it out! So I think it’s pretty safe to say that this hairstyle battle was a TIE! I won because the style did look great and stayed in place. The Hairstyle also won because I ended up not liking how it looked on me. You guys be the judge. Who do you think won? Me or the hairstyle? Leave your comments below! The two videos that help me achieve my finger coils feel free to use both of the full out tutorials to show you how to achieve finger coils.

Charyjays Tutorial on Finger Coils- Chile I loveeee a Charyjay Tutorial! Always very informative and simple to follow. I chose her because we have a similar texture, and she showed two different methods of products to use to achieve this style.

Jouelzy’s Tutorial on Finger Coils- Jouelzy is my go to guru for 4C Hair! What attracted me to her tutorial was because we have similar length and texture.

For this video I used 4 out of the 6 products that came with my CurlBox. For a more detailed description of the products featured, click here for my Curlbox Unboxing Video.

Ok So I started off with super dry hair that was tangled and lacked moisture. I used the Cantu Shea Butter Coil Calm Detangler. It left my hair feeling super soft and manageable. I will definitely be using this again!

Then after that it was time to condition and I decided to grab the Carol’s Daughter Mirabelle Plum Conditioner. It put shape back into my curls, and kept my hair feeling and smelling great!

After that I let it dry using the Dove Quench Absolute Cream Serum as a leave in. I showed how soft my hair was in the video. I showed you that I used the Curls Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Paste and it really held the finger coils! I loved the curl control paste! I was really pleased that it held my curls

So since I didn’t really dig the finger coils, so I decided to take them out and rock a finger coil out and I loved it! The Control Paste really defined my curls and I have been rocking this super defined coil out for the past 3 days!
