Happy Monday Darling Divas!
Welcome back to the blog! I hope you had a wonderful weekend, but it’s time to get back to business! Now last week I introduced the Beauty Basics series here at NoMinusPlus! In the last episode I talked about the importance of prepping your skin for makeup and removing your makeup properly. If you want to check that out click here! Now episode 2 was supposed to be up the next day, but since it was such a long video it too FOREVER to upload! I decided to work on it more, and now its finally ready to present! So today in this episode of the beauty basics series we are going to be talking all about BROWS!!!! Eyebrows are a very important part of doing your makeup. If your eyebrows aren’t on point then your whole makeup look will not be on point! So today I will be showing you how to groom, fill, and clean up your brows. Since this video was soo long, I had to break this video in two parts! So part one will be showing you how to groom your brows, and part two will be showing you how to properly fill in and clean up your brows. Breaking up these videos in two parts also works because now you can choose which part you want to learn. If you want to lean how to just groom your brows then just watch video one, and if you want to fill and clean up your brows just watch part two of the video. Of course if you want to learn it all then watch both parts! Now enough of the talking, lets get to the videos!
Did you enjoy the videos? I really hope you did! I hope that it taught you something new! Now since I have alot of information to share in this video, I am going to split the info according to each part of this video. So lets first discuss Part 1 which is the grooming process.
Part 1 Grooming
In the first video we talked all about grooming your brows. Before you even add a brow products to your face you need to make sure that all the unnecessary hairs are gone from your brows. By grooming your brows you also give yourself a clear guideline for when it’s time to fill them in. There are soo many tools that you can use to remove your hair. Below I will show you my top suggestions for each tool I mentioned in the video.
If you want to use tweezer’s I recommend:
If you want to use eyebrow razor’s I recommend
Tinkle Eyebrow Razors
If you want to use a facial hair removal cream I recommend:
Nair Hair Remover Face Cream in the Sensitive Skin Formula
If you want to use an electric facial hair trimmer I recommend:
Kiss Super Groom Precision Hair Trimmer
With all of these facial hair removal tools and products please use with caution and be careful! These items are sharp or use chemicals so you want to make sure that you properly choose whats best for you, and be safe!
To draw your guide on where to remove hair I used a silver eyeliner pencil from NYX. I would recommend using a White eyeliner pencil because you can really see the hairs that you want to use.
The white eyeliner I recommend is:
Wet n Wild Color Icon Liner Brow & Eye Pencil in White
Part 2 Fill
There are seriously so many brow fill in products on the market for you to use! You can use powder, pencils, gel’s, pretty much anything to fill in your brows! I switch between powder and pencil, but I love trying out new brow products.
If you want to use a eyebrow powder/cream I recommend:
E.L.F Eyebrow Kit
If you want to use a brow pencil I recommend:
Wet n wild Color Icon Brow
Feel free to try out whatever brow product interests you! However if you are a beginner I would stick to a pencil and powder since they are the easiest to work with. You can also use a eye shadow color that is the same color of your brow if you cant get your hands on products!
Part 3 Clean Up
Now the clean up process of brows is where the magic happens! This adds that sharp perfect brow look that everybody loves. A thick concealer will do the trick, and you want to make sure you get the concealer in a shade 2-3 shades lighter than your skin color so that your brow can really pop.
The concealer I recommend is:
NYX Concealer in a Jar
So ladies that is all for the brow tutorial! I hope you enjoyed this video, and I hope it really helped! Feel free to follow me on social media! They are all linked above for you to check out! Follow me because I will be making a huge announcement later this week! Be sure to come back tomorrow for another blogpost! Until then I love you lots like tator tots, and I will see you tomorrow!
Happy Monday Darling Diva’s!
Welcome back to another week on the blog! Today I am finally going to be starting up my beauty basics series! I asked on my social media if anybody would be interested in a series teaching makeup for beginners. I got alot of great feedback on that post, so here it is! This is a ongoing series so it doesn’t have an end date. Im going to just keep on making these basic’s videos until I feel that I have touched on every topic. If you have a particular makeup skill that you want me to show you how to do just leave it on the comments! I will be sure to touch on it if I can! I AM NOT A MAKEUP ARTIST! But I really love makeup. I will be showing how I personally like to apply makeup, and I hope that’s ok! So enough of the rambling! Let’s get into the video!
Did you enjoy the video?? I hope that you truly did! I hope that it was really informational and helped you out alot. Skincare is very important when it comes to makeup application. You have to take care of your skin before you even put an ounce of makeup on. So I figured this was the perfect video to start the basic’s with. So lets get into the info!
How I prep my skin
Prepping your skin is very important! You want to make sure that you have a clean, smooth, and moisturized surface to apply makeup to. I classify my skin under Normal skin, so I have alot of leeway with what kind of skincare products that I can use. I keep my skincare routine really simple these days since my skin right now is pretty fine. If you would like to see my complete skincare routine click here
. I do this routine (and parts of this routine) at the times when my skin is really out of control. During those times I choose not to wear makeup because it actually makes my breakout WORSE.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub
Nivea Face Cream
You can buy both of these products at your local Walmart or Target.
How I remove my makeup
Properly removing your makeup is just as important as prepping your skin for makeup. You want to make sure that you remove your makeup so that you don’t create any skin problems. When I don’t remove my makeup I end up having really bad breakouts, and ALWAYS wake-up with a pimple. When I remove my makeup properly each time my skin is happy, I am happy, and my makeup looks even more flawless. Granted there are times where I get lazy and just sleep in my makeup, but I really try hard to take it off every night. No matter how tired I am.
My makeup remover
Wet n Wild Eye Makeup Remover
You can purchase this at your local drugstore. I also have a tutorial on how to make your very own Makeup Wipes. Click here to check out that video. After I remove my makeup I use the same products above to cleanse my face.
So ladies that’s it for the first Beauty Basic’s video. I hope it was informative, and I hope that it was helpful! Be sure to come back here tomorrow for another beauty basic’s video! I plan to do two of them a month! Feel free to follow me on social media. They are linked above. So until tomorrow ladies I love you lots like tator tots, and see you soon!
