We have reached the third week of The Power of Color series! This colorful treat will be coming to an end next week, and I hope you have been enjoying it so far! This week’s color combo is Analogous and is just as vibrant as it’s fellow lookbooks Primary and Tertiary. So let’s get into today’s color lesson!

Analogous
colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
This lookbook is coming at you with a lot of layers! Whenever I can layer something, it’s always a good day for me!
Look 1
Color Combo ( Pink, Purple, and Red)
Blazer:JcPenny
Top: Ashley Stewart
Shorts: Rainbow Shops
Shoes: Payless

I felt like an earthly goddess in this color combo! The mixture of all the colors just compliment each other so well, and I just LOVE how the background makes the outfit pop. I can’t wait for Summer to come back around so that I can rock this look!
Look 2
Color Combo( Yellow, Orange, Green)
 Kimono: Melissa Mccarthy Via Dia&Co
Dress: Fashion to Figure
Clutch: Dia&Co
Shoes: JustFab

Now our last lookbook had a similar color combo, but I had to switch it up to make it a bit different, This look was inspired by the look you see above, but I have to say I love how even those two looks still aren’t the same! I surprised myself a lot with how I created my looks!
Look 3
Color Combo:( Purple, Blue, Green)

Week three of the power of color series is now done, and we just have one more week left! Remember to come back on Friday for the Color Commentary for this lookbook, and follow me on social media for more colorful fun! I love you lots like tater tots, and I will see you on Friday!

The Power of Color: Primary

Hello, All My Darling Divas!

Happy October! If you have been apart of the NoMinusPlus family for a while, then you would know that every October I do a monthly series. I have done the seven deadly sins, an Icon series, and an element series so far. For this year’s series, I decided that I wanted to play with color, so I present to you all The Power of Color series: A 4 lookbook ode to the color wheel! This year I am doing things a little different. I will explain more, but there will basically be no video. Instead, you can get the looks right here on the blog! So every Wednesday a power of color video drops, and every Friday a story behind the color will drop where I explain each color combo of each lookbook. So shall we begin?

Primary Colors
Art. a color, as red, yellow, or blue, that in mixture yields other colors.
The first color combination that I ever got introduced to was Primary colors. They remind me of primary school, first time things, so I decided it should go first in this series! Can you believe that this is the first time that I realized how good Red, Yellow, and Blue look together!

Look1
Turban: Gifted
Earrings: ElinPapiForBabi
Tank top: Walmart
Jacket: DebShops
Jeans Marshalls
Shoes: Payless

What I love about primary colors is that they are vibrant and are the basic colors in the color wheel. Every color combo comes from primary colors, and I think that is so powerful. How amazing is it that so many color combos come from just three colors!
LOOK 2
 Jacket: Rainbow
Top: Burlington Coat Factory
Skirt: LulaRoe
What I also love about the Primary color palette is that it pairs so well with prints. In this lookbook, I have paired it with stripes, and animal print and both just go with the color combo effortlessly.
So I hope you all have enjoyed the first portion of The Power of Color series! Get ready for a month filled with color prints! Now you gotta be sure to come back every Friday as well for The Color Story: An explanation and a break down of every blog post you will see on Wednesdays. So you still get your Wed and Fri post, it’s just all themed around color! So I love you lots like tater tots, and I will see you on Friday!

Styling My Recent Haul

Happy Friday Darling Divas!
Do you remember last Friday’s Video?( If not feel free to Click Here to Refresh) I showed you a fabulous haul, and I mentioned in that video that I would be styling those pieces at another time. Well ladies and gents, the time has arrived! Today on the blog I am styling the pieces from my recent haul! I had a lot of fun creating random looks, so I think I may start styling the pieces that I haul! So enough of the chit-chat let’s get into the video!

Did you enjoy? I hope so! I love how random and fun this video was! I am already looking forward to my next haul so that I get to do this again! I really do love Fashion, so anytime that I get to create outfits is a good time in my book! Let’s get into the breakdown of the outfits!

Preppy With A Pop
Jacket and Skirt-Target
Top- A scarf tied around my Bra
I don’t consider my style to be preppy at all, but there is something about this skirt that I just love so much! I am a sucker for stripes, so I know that sold me. But the bird print? I am in love with it! I can’t wait to rock this with a crisp white button up, and tie-up flats!
Oversize my Florals
Jacket- Fashion to Figure ( Via Dia&Co)
Pants- Target
As soon as I laid eyes on this pair of pants, was in love! They are definitly too big for me, but I could care less! That’s what I love about Fashion. That you can pretty much rock any piece no matter what! If it’s too big, or too small I always love getting creative and finding a Fashion Hack to still rock it!
90’s Vibes
Bra and Short Set- Rue21
Jacket- DebShops
Jeans- Burlington Coat Factory
I am a proud 90’s baby, so I was inspired by that tomboy look of that time! Think of Aaliyah’s wardrobe! Usually the pants are alot baggier, but I like the fact that my pants are fitted. I shows a pop of sexy without revealing too much.
Peplum Princess
Top- Walmart
Skirt and Belt- Fashion to Figure
If it’s a Peplum, it has to go in my closet. I swear I am addicted to anything that has a Peplum detail! Its just such a fun style! When I locked eyes on this skirt I just knew it had to come home with me! I love that I can make this skirt casaul with the chambray blouse. All I have to do is add sneakers and a crossbody bag and I have a look that is great for a date night or brunch!
So ladies that’s it for today’s video. I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed creating it! This concludes this week’s blogpost, but dont worry! I will be right back here next week with 2 brand spanking new videos! I am currently still on Vacay, and will be attending Miami Curves Week tomorrow, so be sure to follow me on social media to check out the event! I have dropped so many OOTD’s of the pieces in this video, so if you want to see how I actually styled them for Vacay, check out my links above! I love you lots like tater tots, thank you for all your support, and I will see you all next week!

Pencil Skirt Pusher

Hello All My Darling Divas,

Happy Friday! I don’t know about you, but I am so excited for the weekend! Before you go off to do all your fabulous activities, I wanted to stop up here to talk about my latest obsession: pencil skirts! They come in all different types, all different colors, and today I will proving to you why you need a pencil skirt in your wardrobe! So sit back, enjoy the video, and be prepared to be convinced why you need once in your life!

Did you enjoy the video? Are you running out to get a pencil skirt yet? If this essential piece is not in your closet yet, I hope I have convinced you why you need a couple in your life! Let’s recap what you saw in the video!

Types of Pencil Skirts
Peplum Pencil Skirt
This style is great for hourglass figures, or for ladies who loveee to show off and define their waist. I personally am one of those ladies, so I always love when I get the chance to wear this skirt! It looks great with a top tucked in to show off the peplum design!

Stretch

If you have a little more lovin’ going on in your tummy area, pick a pencil skirt that has some stretch! Fabrics such a cotton, ponte, and jersey are great fabrics that are comfortable and flattering on the tummy!

Midi
The midi length pencil skirt is great for if you don’t want to show as much leg and are a bit conservative,  or/and if you are a tall lady such as myself! It will make your legs look amazing, and you can adjust how short or long you want it! Just wear it just above your waist to make it longer, or wear it high waisted to make it shorter.

The Looks
Night Out
Top, Skirt, and belt from Fashion to Figure
I would pair this look with pumps or pencil flats for a night out with my girls!
Casual
Jacket: Rachel Roy ( Via Dia&Co)
Top- Amazon
Skirt- Fashion to Figure ( Via Dia&Co)
100% of my life is casual, so I would wear this to work( which is a casual setting), or on weekends with friends!

Blazer-Target
Top-Torrid
Skirt-LoveLianca
If your job is business casual, then this look is great for you! Pair it with flats or sensible heels!

Happy Friday Darling Divas!

I got these amazing pair of black pants in my July Dia&Co unboxing, and I have BEEN LIVING IN THEM! They are so comfortable, and I have rocked them so many ways. So I decided to show you four different ways to style these pants. I am thinking of doing a series like this where I style one piece, four ways, so let me know what piece you want me to style next! It’s imperative to get as much wear out of your clothes especially if you are on a budget like me! This is just my way of getting creative and getting all my money’s worth out of my clothes! If you want to snag these amazing pants, then leave your stylist a note on Dia&Co telling her you want the Jennifer Seamed Pant in your next box. If you don’t have a box, don’t worry! Order yours today by clicking this link to my promo code! It allows all First Time customers to get their first styling credit ($20) free! Also just putting a disclaimer out that this video is not being sponsored! I am doing it on my own, I was not asked to this, and all opinions are my own.
