Style Swap: Preppy

Happy President’s Day Darling Diva’s!
I am back up here with your first blog post of the week! This is a new series that I am starting here on the blog where I swap my style out for other styles that I have been dying to try! 2017 is all about pushing boundaries and getting outside of your comfort zone, so I encourage you to try a new style this year! I decided to give the preppy look a try for my first style swap video! I think I did pretty good, and Pinterest definitely helped me out! So enjoy the video, and meet me below!

Did you enjoy the video!! I hope so! If you want to check out the Pinterest board that inspired my preppy looks, then click here! I had so much fun trying out some new styles, and transforming the pieces in my closet into a new style!

In this video, I mentioned that I am going to use my Dia boxes now to help style me for the videos! Here are the three items from my recent Dia box that were featured in this lookbook! If you would like to give them a try in your next box, just copy and paste the style into the “Notes to my stylist” section on your profile, and let them know you would like to see it in your next box!

Ember Color Skinny Pants

My Preppy Looks!
From my Pinterest board and looking at other pictures online, I noticed that the preppy style consists of:
Neutrals
Stripes
Plaid
Shift Dresses
Layering
Scarves and statement necklaces
Denim Shirts
Khaki’s and denim
Sweaters

From the following list put together my three looks! Not bad for me trying out this style! I really look forward to rocking some of the looks when I go out for a day of hanging with friends!
Look 1
Poncho- Dia&Co
Top-Fashion to Figure Via Dia&Co
Jeans- Morgan and Walker
Shoes- Payless

This look was inspired mostly by the neutrals of the preppy style! I wanted this look to feature colors that complimented each other, and I definitely knew I had to sneak striped in this look somehow! Although I didn’t keep the poncho, I really like how it easily layered over pieces, and how the beige compliments the green jeans!
Look 2
Jacket- Thrifted
Dress- Fashion to Figure via Dia&Co
Scarf- Dia&Co
Shoes- JustFab

You guys this look is definitely my fave! I feel like it is such a good look for spring! I wasn’t expecting to love the combination of colors in this look, but I think the scarf pulls it all in! Can I also mention how soft and warm this scarf is? It is a new fave in my closet!
Look 3
Denim Shirt- Fashion to Figure
Sweater- Gifted
Skirt- Forever21
Boots- Lane Bryant

So sorry that this picture and the clip in the video is out of focus, but you can still see this look! I noticed that a schoolgirl/uniform was also considered very preppy, and so, of course, I had to try this look out! This look came out cuter than I expected, and I am gong to revisit this look next winter!
So, ladies, I hope you enjoyed this style swap video! If you have wanted to try out a style or type of clothing, I challenge you to do it this year with me! You never know, maybe you might discover a new style that you like! Feel free to follow me on social media by clicking on my links above! I will be sure to follow back! Brie Travels to…Puerto Rico

Happy Friday Darling Divas!,
Well, another Friday has come our way, and it has been a pretty busy week here on the blog! I have posted three times this week, and let me tell you it felt good! I always love when I get to give you guys new content! Our four day week has come to an end with this blog post today, which will be all about my recent trip to Puerto Rico! I am taking a couple of fun trips this year, so I decided to showcase all my outfits and fun with my trip in one super blog post that I will be calling Brie Travels to! It’s pretty much like my travel scrapbook, and I am so thrilled to share my first trip of the year which was fantastic. Let’s hop right in!

I am a very nervous flyer. There I said it! It’s something about not being on the ground that freaks me out! But I will not let fear stop me from seeing the world! My I traveled with my best friend Asha who just assured me that it’s all going to be ok! Idk but something about what she said really calmed me, so I got in the sky and just relaxed. I looked out the window and was just so amazed by the clouds! I have to say it has become my favorite thing about flying. Seeing all the clouds, and seeing all the civilization as you prepare to land.

After we landed we grabbed our rental car, made a stop for some groceries, and headed to our AirBnB. We rested up because the week ahead of us was about to be amazing!

Day 1 A trip to Old San Juan
Old San Juan was my favorite place to visit! It is filled with so many beauitul buildings, and so much history is there! It was a great way to kick off our week!

Day 2 Botanical Gardens Anyone?
Ok so the botanical gardens? Simply beautiful! It was such an amazing spot filled will tall palm trees, and ponds filled with turtles! The sun was shining bright, and it was just so peaceful there!

Day 3 Rain Rain Go Away

to was called Electroshock. It was very cool in there!

Day 5 Rainforest Goddess
I was so excited when we arrive at El Yunque rainforest. I was so excited to see all the greenery and to be in an actually rain forest! The ground is very slippery, and it’s pretty much a hike to get everywhere, so I decided that active wear was best for this day!

Day 6 Partying All Night Long!
We decided to end our week long adventure with a night out on the town! We got all dolled up, and headed back to Old San Juan to see what Puerto Rico was like at night! We had a great time ending out trip swaying to the amazing sounds of Salsa music! Oh and we had a couple of cocktails!

Everyday Bag

Crossbody Bags
Crossbody bags are great for when you are on the go, or if you are traveling! This is a great choice
for keeping all your items close to you so that it doesn’t get stolen! I have so many of these bags because I take a lot of Ubers and public transportation. I want to keep all of my items secure, and this is the best way to do it!

A bag like this is great for when you are just going someplace for the night or weekend. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and will hold just enough stuff for a couple of days. It also can double as a carry on back for vacation!

Fashion Trends I loved in High School

Hello, All My Darling Divas!

Welcome to another week here on the blog! I hope that you had an amazing Thanksgiving, and spent lots of time eating and loving on your family and friends! I am back today with your Monday blog post! Today we are going back in time. I am going to sharing with you some of my favorite trends from High School. Although it wasn’t that long ago that I graduated from High School( S/O to the Class of 2010), but my style has definitely evolved since then! So let’s get into this flashback video!

Did you enjoy?? I hope so! What year did you graduate High School, and what were your fave fashions to wear? Comment them down below!

Trend Then Printed Leggings
So I wasn’t able to find a picture of me rocking my leggings from back in the day, but I was able to find two of my fave pairs of leggings from back in the day! I can’t tell you guys how much I loved wearing these! I actually was pretty sad the day I had to throw them out.
Update: I was able to find a picture of me wearing the leggings!
Trend Now Printed Pants
I have since then traded my printed leggings for printed pants! They are a fun way to spice up any look, and I honestly feel like a true Diva whenever I wear them! You have seen me rock printed pants here on the blog, and you will continue to see them here!
Trend Then Accessories Overload
I loveedd accessories so much back in high school I was always wearing some type of oversized glasses, a billion bracelets, or big earrings. My outfit wouldn’t be complete without at least three accessories, and my 16yr old self would be so upset with me because I barely wear any at all!

 Trend Now Simple Jewelry
Every once in awhile I break out my jewelry. This may seem like a lot, but this is not as much as I used to wear! I wouldn’t wear all of this on the same day, but I would probably pick one out of these two styles to add some bling to my look!
Trend Then Major Layering
First of all, let’s talk about how much of a throwback this picture is first of all! Taking photos like this were so popular back in the day! I am located on the top right and as you can see my layering game is strong! My best friend is to the left of me, and her outfit is also another look that I used to rock! Layering short sleeved shirts, over long sleeved ones was everything!
Trend Now Simple Layering
All of these outfits are the product of layering! Simple layering can come together to create the best outfits. I did a whole blog post on layering last year. You can click here to check it out if you want! I pretty much use layering now to create illusions of one whole outfit. Before you could clearly see I was layering, but now the way I layer you can’t tell!

Trend Then: Vest Go with Everything
It was very common that I would be wearing a vest with my outfit. I swore up and down that they went with everything! They kinda do, b
ut then again they don’t

Trend Now- A Vest Every Once In a While
I don’t really wear a lot of vests now, but if I do I usually go for a longer one. It fits my shape well, and they add drama to my look. I don’t add then to all my looks like back in the day, but everyone once in a while, for me, is ok!

So, ladies, that’s all for today’s blog post! I hope you have enjoyed going down this trip to memory lane with me! Are you following me on social media yet? You should be! Stay connected with me and the blog by clicking the links above! Be sure to check back here Friday at 5 for your next blogpost! I love you lots like tater tots, and I will see you on Friday!

Dia&Co (Nov) Styling and Try On Video

Hello, All My Darling Divas!
Welcome back to another day here on the blog! As promised in yesterday’s video, I am here today with the styling and try on video for my November Dia&Co unboxing. If you missed that, then you can click here to check it out! In today’s video, I show you guys what each item looks like tried on, what I am going to keep and send back, and how I would style each piece. If you want to order a Dia box of your very own, then click here! So let’s get into the video!

Did you enjoy the try on??? I hope so! I really enjoyed my box this month, and just had to keep each piece! So let’s get into the breakdown!

 State Street Crossbody
Size: OS
Keeping?: Yes!

This crossbody bag is pretty much my ENTIRE LIFE! I love small crossbody bags like this. They come in handy for everything! A crossbody bag like this is simple to style. I love pairing cheetah print with olive green, so I would pair this bag with a pair of distressed olive green skinny jeans a black top and boots for a cute weekend look!

For Cheeta Crossbody
 Eloquii Rosa Midi Skirt
Size: 20
Keeping?: Yes!
Sorry for the terrible photo! I had to screen shot it from the video since I forgot to take an actual picture! I surprisingly don’t have a lot of skirts in my closet, so this green one had to stay! It’s perfect for the holidays! I would wear it with a bodysuit tucked in, pumps, and a jeweled clutch for Christmas party, or I would rock it with an oversized sweater and chucks for a casual look!
For Green Midi Skirt
Fashion To Figure- Camden Bomber Jacket
Size:1X
Keeping?: Yes!
I love this jacket!! It’s super soft and fits me so well. I am usually not a fan of floral print, but something about this jacket just makes me so happy.  I would rock this bomber jacket with a skater skirt and booties for a casual look! If I wanted to dress it up, I would pair it with Faux leather leggings, pumps, and a green clutch for an edgy look!
For Floral Bomber Jacket
 JunaRose- Maya Hi-Low Top
Size: 1x

Keeping?: Yes!

I surprisingly don’t have a lot of basics in my wardrobe, so this piece had to stay with me. There are so many things you can do with a simple piece like this. I would dress it down with joggers and boots, or dress it up with a fabulous pencil skirt and a choker!
For Black Top
 ASOS Curve Velvet Leggings
Size: UK20
Keeping?: YES!
If it’s velvet, I have to have it!! It is my fave clothing material, and I swear if I could wear anything for the rest of my life it would be something made out of velvet. I have had my eyes on this pair of leggings for so long, and I am glad I snagged them! I would pair them with a top and jean jacket for a casual look, or a tunic top and red pumps to add some color to them to dress them up!
For Velvet Leggings
So ladies this completes the Dia&Co November Styling and Try on video! If you were counting along, then you know that this was another Full Box Purchase!! Luna as always has done a fabulous job, and I just had to keep them all! That wraps up this week’s blogpost! Be sure to come back here on Monday for a brand spanking new week of new videos!! Are you following me on social media yet? You should be! All of them are listed below if you are interested! I love you lots like tater tots, and I will see you next week!
