The Power of Color: Complementary

Hello, All My Darling Divas!

We have finally reached the last lookbook of The Power of Color series, and I am actually very sad to see it go. I had such a fantastic time showing you all my color combos, and I hope that you all were as inspired as I was. The last Color combo we are going to talk about is complementary colors which are honestly the first color combo I learned about back in college. It’s a great way to end off the series, and I hope you will love it just as much as the first three lookbook which you can click here, here, and here to check out! Let’s jump in!

Complementary

Colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel

In my world no look is complete unless you have a little cheetah in it! This beautiful pair of animal print booties from Just Fab pairs perfectly with this orange and blue combo! This look is so simple, but packs a colorful punch that I think any Diva will enjoy!
Look 1
Color Combo ( Orange and Blue)
Sweater: Target
Orange Dress: Fashion to Figure
Booties: JustFab

I was definitly chanelling my inner Belle from Beaty and the Beast with this look! ( lol)  I just wanted something really extra and of course something that showcased the color combo! This skirt should look familiar because it’s my favorite one from Eloquii! They really have some of the best A-line skirts, and come in so many different colors! Brielle and the Beast came out to play today hunny!

 Look 2
Color Combo( Red and Green)
Top: A Dress from Dia&Co
Skirt: Eloquii via Dia&Co

I got this vibrant yellow blazer this past weekend at a thrift store, and I was SO EXCITED that I was able to use it in the last lookbook. It goes so well with these super hot heels from Ashley Stewart, and im not gonna lie I felt so fierce! It’s something about jeans and heels that make me feel
like a vixen. Is that just me?

Look 3
Color Combo ( Yellow and Purple)
Top: Rainbow Shops
Blazer: Thrifted
Jeans: Celebrity Pink Via Dia&Co
Shoes: Ashley Stewart

So that wraps up the last lookbook in The Power of Color series! I had such a blast having this color party with you all, and I hope you all loved it as much as I enjoyed creating it. We have one more color commentary coming up on Friday, and then we are all wrapped up and done with the series! Be sure to follow me on social media because I have also been having a color party on my IG! You can check it out by clicking the links above! OOTD Re-Do!

TGIF Darling Divas!
I am so excited about today’s video! I was deep in the NoMinusPlus Archives and noticed all these amazing fashion posts from a couple of years ago! I had this fabulous idea to re-create 4 looks that are my favorite! So enough of the talk lets get into the video!!

How fun was that blast from the past! I didn’t notice until after the video that all the looks were from 2012, so I must have been pretty stylish that year! (lol) It was super fun for me to recreate each look and see how my style has evolved and stayed the same!
Look 1 Bleach and Distressed
Click here to check out the original blog post
Even though I almost killed myself making these jeans, I just love how creative and innovative I used to be! I wanted a pair of distressed and bleached jeans, but at the time couldn’t afford them, so I transformed an old pair into the ones I wanted! That just goes to show you that I will risk it all for fashion! Even though I have a couple more coins in the bank now, I still have been known to bust out a D.I.Y. project every now and again!
Look 2 Cheetahlicous!
Click here to check out the original blog post
As you can see this dress still hits me in the same place! It’s so interesting how back in the day I could care less, but now I’m like umm I need something under this! The ripped leggings under it are so me at this moment, but I love how the aesthetic of this look is still the same!
Look 1 Aztec Inspired
Click here to check out original blog post
Although I no longer have this fabulous skirt, I still think this look is pretty close! I must have really loved being bold with my hemlines cause honey that’s a short skirt! If I do skirts now, I prefer them right above the knee like you see in the picture on the right. Funny how times change!
Look 4 Lazy Turban
Click here to check out the original blog post!
This look is personal one of my all time favorite looks! I love this look because is so laid-back but still glam! I would still totally wear this look exactly the same today! Just still wish I had those awesome peter pan boots!
I hope you ladies have enjoyed this trip down memory lane! If you have any throwback OOTD’s share them down below! Be sure to also include if you would wear them the exact same, or switch it up differently! Although this wraps up our blog post for the week remember that 2 new ones are coming next week, and and you can follow me on all my social media if you want to keep up with me! The links are at the top of the page! I love you lots like tater tots, I hope you have a safe and amazing Memorial Day weekend, and I will see you all next Wednesday!
