The Power of Color: Primary

Hello, All My Darling Divas!

Happy October! If you have been apart of the NoMinusPlus family for a while, then you would know that every October I do a monthly series. I have done the seven deadly sins, an Icon series, and an element series so far. For this year’s series, I decided that I wanted to play with color, so I present to you all The Power of Color series: A 4 lookbook ode to the color wheel! This year I am doing things a little different. I will explain more, but there will basically be no video. Instead, you can get the looks right here on the blog! So every Wednesday a power of color video drops, and every Friday a story behind the color will drop where I explain each color combo of each lookbook. So shall we begin?

Primary Colors
Art. a color, as red, yellow, or blue, that in mixture yields other colors.
The first color combination that I ever got introduced to was Primary colors. They remind me of primary school, first time things, so I decided it should go first in this series! Can you believe that this is the first time that I realized how good Red, Yellow, and Blue look together!

Turban: Gifted
Earrings: ElinPapiForBabi
Tank top: Walmart
Jacket: DebShops
Jeans Marshalls
Shoes: Payless

What I love about primary colors is that they are vibrant and are the basic colors in the color wheel. Every color combo comes from primary colors, and I think that is so powerful. How amazing is it that so many color combos come from just three colors!
 Jacket: Rainbow
Top: Burlington Coat Factory
Skirt: LulaRoe
What I also love about the Primary color palette is that it pairs so well with prints. In this lookbook, I have paired it with stripes, and animal print and both just go with the color combo effortlessly.
So I hope you all have enjoyed the first portion of The Power of Color series! Get ready for a month filled with color prints! Now you gotta be sure to come back every Friday as well for The Color Story: An explanation and a break down of every blog post you will see on Wednesdays. So you still get your Wed and Fri post, it’s just all themed around color! So I love you lots like tater tots, and I will see you on Friday!

Holiday Party Lookbook

Happy Monday Darling Divas!
Isn’t it crazy that it’s December already???! I can’t believe it! With December comes a lot of fabulous holidays events and parties. You have to have something to wear right? Have no fear, the NoMinusPlus Holiday Party Lookbook is here! I have put together 4 looks that are great for office parties, Festive galas, and so much more! Enough of the small talk, let’s get into the video!

Did you enjoy? Which look was your favorite? Comment down below? Remember that all of these looks are available as pins on Pinterest! Click here to save them to your board for inspiration!

Look 1
Jacket- Ashley Stewart
Top- H&M
Jeans- Fashion to Figure
Shoes- Ashley Stewart
This look is perfect for a holiday event that is a bit more laid back! I always feel like Faux Fur was made for festive events, so when I got this pair of pom- pom heels from Ashley Stewart I just knew I had to pair it with this jacket! I love how comfortable and sexy this look is!

Look 2
Dress- Fashion to Figure
Faux Fur Shawl- Cashi
Belt- Dia&Co
Shoes- Nine West
This outfit is perfect if your festive event is more formal! I was watching Good Morning America the other day, and I saw how they belted a faux fur shawl to the outfit. I got instantly inspired and decided to do the same! The belt brings in my curves and ensures that I won’t lose my shawl as I make my way around the room!

Look 3
Jacket- Eloquii
Shirt- N/A
Skirt- Fashion to Figure
Shoes- Torrid

What’re the holidays without a tulle skirt? It just so happens that the only one I have is animal printed (of course), but a traditional one will do as well! I decided to add some edge with this lace moto jacket. This outfit was inspired by one that Chante from Everything Curvy and Chic created a couple of years ago. I loved it so much, and I think a look like this is great for any Edgy girl looking to Jingle Bell Rock!

Look 4
Top( Actually a Dress)- Target
Skirt- Forever21
Belt- Dia&Co
Shoes- Torrid
This classic look is perfect for an office party! It’s very simple, yet fabulous! The pointed flats give it an Audry Hepburn flair, and the green makes it great for the holidays! This look is similar to one that I am wearing to my upcoming Holiday Party!

So today I am coming at cha with the behind the scenes footage for the Fire Lookbook! This lookbook I have to say is the one that I am most proud of, and I explain that more in the video. Enough of the rambling let’s hop right in!
Did you enjoy the video? I hope so! It’s always so great to look back and see how each of the looks was created since I filmed this footage so long ago! Special shout out to my two best friends for keeping me laughing and being the greatest people on the planet!! Below you will find further styling tips on each look. This time around I only gave you one styling option since all the looks in this lookbook are pretty wearable!
I love this look because of its bold high slit! Who doesn’t like showing a Lil leg? This look was my go-to outfit all summer, so I am pleased that this dress is finally making its NoMinusPlus Debut!
A casual outfit like this is perfect for any weekend. Whether you are hanging out with friends, attending a family event, or chilling with your boo.
How To Transform:
I actually wore this dress for a night out a couple of weeks ago. I rocked it with a pair of suspender tights, a pair of black booties, and a fabulous purse! This creates a casual look with a pop of sexy!
I used to tell myself that I couldn’t rock yellow because it would make me look muted. Well, I have been lying to myself because this yellow peplum is everything!
This outfit is a great option for Date night. It a pop of color, a little bit of sexy, and super comfortable since I’m wearing flats!
How to Transform:
Ditch the skirt, and rock this beautiful peplum top with a pair of distressed skinny jeans, a fab pair of heels, and an amazing clutch for a bright and vibrant look perfect for a girls night out!
This outfit made me feel like a BAWSE! I’m not sure what is it about jumpsuits, but they always make me feel like I’m on top of the world!
An outfit like this is another weekend favorite. You can wear it for a day of shopping, or for spending quality time with the people that you love!
How To Transform:
Add some color to this black jumpsuit by switching the letterman’s jacket out for a blazer, wearing pumps instead of sneakers, and a clutch to make this jumpsuit great for the workplace or after office drinks!
This outfit gives me Bad Sandy from Grease vibes! I felt so cool rocking this look! And I also love that I transformed my red bathing suit into a bodysuit! You gotta be creative with your wardrobe!
Since Halloween is next Monday, you could def rock this as a Sandy from Grease costume! All you need are pumps, a cigarette, and your best “Tell Me About It Stud”
How To Transform:
Grab the pants from this and add a striped top, and a bold colored cardigan for a casual look with a pop of color!
Well, ladies, that’s it for today’s blog post! I can’t believe that next week will be the last element video!! October has flown by. 4 Looks, 1 Piece (Jennifer Seamed Pant)

Happy Friday Darling Divas!

I hope you are all ready to start your weekends as I am! I am coming here today to show you four looks all created around one piece! I got these amazing pair of black pants in my July Dia&Co unboxing, and I have BEEN LIVING IN THEM! They are so comfortable, and I have rocked them so many ways. So I decided to show you four different ways to style these pants. I am thinking of doing a series like this where I style one piece, four ways, so let me know what piece you want me to style next! It’s imperative to get as much wear out of your clothes especially if you are on a budget like me! This is just my way of getting creative and getting all my money’s worth out of my clothes! If you want to snag these amazing pants, then leave your stylist a note on Dia&Co telling her you want the Jennifer Seamed Pant in your next box. If you don’t have a box, don’t worry! Order yours today by clicking this link to my promo code! It allows all First Time customers to get their first styling credit ($20) free! Also just putting a disclaimer out that this video is not being sponsored! I am doing it on my own, I was not asked to this, and all opinions are my own. I just really love these pants and want everyone to have them! (lol)  With that being said let’s get into the video!

Did you enjoy the video? I had so much fun making this video! I really do love fashion, so if you have any fashion related videos you want to see let me know! Let’s get into the breakdown for each look!
