Sometimes wearing brown can be tricky. On us melanin girls it might make us look a little nakey, but that’s not always a bad thing! If you want to give your black a break ( but TBH who really does) feel free to switch it up and try chocolate brown. It will compliment any skin tone and is really easy to style.
 Dress it up
Jacket: Calvin Kline
Belt: Gifted
Shoes: Ashley Stewart
Dress it Down
Jacket: Rachel Roy (Thrifted)
Orange is pretty much my go-to color all year round. It’s perfect for warmer because it’s bright and fun, and great for colder weather because it compliments so many neural and dark colors.

A wise woman once told me:” I don’t trust anybody that doesn’t like the color blue” I really honestly believe in my heart that she is so right! Who doesn’t love blue? It’s just such a good color! It has been my fave color my whole life, and it never fails me!

Color Commentary: Analogous Lookbook

Hello, All My Darling Divas,

Welcome to the third Color Commentary for The Power of Color series happening this month at NoMinusPlus! This week’s lookbook was Analogous, and if you missed that then click here to check it out! This lookbook falls right in line with the others. Delivering a punch of color, and we are here to show you the break down of those looks. So enough of this intro lets begin!

I hope you loved the That’s So Raven Vibes that I am giving you today, and all of the duo looks that I have shown with the Analogous lookbook! Let’s recap.
LOOK 1
This beautiful color combo is definitely spring and summer-worthy, but can still be rocked during winter and Fall. For this look, I gave you two looks for the two separate pieces. If you want to rock just the kimono, you can pair it with a brown t-shirt, a pair of distressed jeans, and a pair of tall tan boots for a casual look that is perfect for early fall! This orange dress will be a hit for your next night out! Just pair it with gold accessories, a sexy pump, and animal print clutch to compliment the orange and give thelook some texture.
LOOK 2
This look was actually inspired by the look above, so I gave you some similar styling tips that you are also going to love. This printed tunic top will be great for tucking into a beautiful skirt with a pair of colored pumps to compliment it for a bold and beautiful look for an interview or date night! Looking for a more casual look? Rock the dress with a pair of sneakers, a jean jacket, and backpack for a super laid-back look that is great for mom’s on the go, or a comfortable babe who is hanging out with friends.
 Look 3
Shorts can DEFINITELY be rocked during colder months, but it’s all in how you layer it. Style your favorite pair of shorts with a thick pair of tights, an oversized sweater, and tall boots for a super stylish look that is great for pumpkin picking! You know I am pretty much obsessed with creating work looks now, so you can style the blouse and blazer with a pair of light-colored trousers and pumps to have your outfit be the topic of conversation at the water cooler!
Ladies and Gents that wraps up the third Color Commentary for The Power of Color lookbook Analogous! Next week wraps up this color-tastic series, so you definitely want to come back on Wed and Friday to check out the finale! Are you following me on social media? You should be! Click the links below to check out all the makeup looks that I have been doing that is inspired by The Power of Color lookbooks. I love you lots like tater tots, thanks for watching, and I will see you all next week!

Color Commentary: The Primary Lookbook

Happy Friday All My Darling Diva;s

The 2017 October series The Power of Color started on Wednesday, and I am so excited that you guys are able to see the outfits that I have been working on! If you haven’t checked it out click here! Today’s blog post may not make sense if you haven’t seen it. In past series, I usually would follow up with a behind the scenes video, but this year I decided to switch it up. Every Friday after a Lookbook drops on Wednesday I am going to be coming at you with a Color Commentary. In this video, we will break down what you saw in the Wednesday lookbook, and how to swap out pieces to make the looks more wearable if you not about that color life. So let’s get into the first Color Commentary!

I hope you guys enjoyed the first Color Commentary! I can’t wait for you to see the rest of the looks in this lookbook! We talked about swapping out pieces to make the outfits more wearable, so here is just recap of those tips!

Look 1
My favorite look of them all! If this casual and cute look doesn’t tickle your fancy, that’s ok! Ditch the turban and the heels, and rock your own hair and a pair of black boots. The red top can replace with a white tee, and you can rock a bold red lip instead.

Look 2
I think this look will be perfect for making a statement at work, but I totally understand if your style or your work code is more traditional. Just swap out the top for a white button down and a blazer, and a pair of pumps to create a business casual look with a pop of print!

Look 3
I think that this look is honestly the most wearable of them all. I would totally rock this for a casual night out, but if the mesh inst your thing feel free to pair it with a black top instead. Keep the cheetah print vibe by styling it with a backpack, and it will complement the yellow pants so well. Rock the look with a pair of sneakers and a black jacket, and you have an edgy inspired look that is great for weekends!

So ladies that wraps up today’s first Color Commentary. Be sure to come back here every Wed this month for a new lookbook in The Power of Color series, and then a Color Commentary ever Fri! I always love to do my October series because it’s when I can get really creative and have fun! I hope you all have enjoyed the first week, and get geared up and ready for the next three! Also be sure to follow me on social media because the color fun will be continuing over there! I love you lots like tater tots, and I will see you next week!
